LUX
Lux
I tried to capture the fantasy of flowers with a light trail following them like fairy dust. The Lux Collection intends to represent the photos as a transfer of illumination since Photography is capturing light as an image. These images capture both instant moments with flash photography and light trails during extended exposure, where the illuminated object was. I am demonstrating the measurement of light. Lux is a standardized unit of measurement of light level intensity, which is commonly referred to as "illuminance" or "illumination". Illumination of an image within an illuminated space. The image is illuminated and yet still needs illumination so it can be seen.
The illumination in the photos is not an actual source of light but is captured as the reflection of illumination. I described this captured reflection of illumination as transference, illumination transferred. Not only is illumination a single moment being captured but several moments of illumination in motion are being captured. The phantoms of the blossoms in the images are from the blossoms being tossed about in the wind. The places where the phantoms are is illumination being reflected and captured in a single frame, a photo, waiting to be illuminated again.
Could you imagine if we didn’t process motion?
